I have been observing, learning and noticing the sudden, gradual, subtle and obvious journeys of ebb and decline of different nations across the globe. I used to wonder why human charter of rights and protection does not respond and proceed for help like organizations with humanitarian agenda on their mission. United nations and world resources regularly proclaim to join hands together, develop policies , establish connections , liaise stakeholders with each other for upholding basic human rights. But now, I know how countries fall into human-made crisis while seeing Pakistan sinking in the midst of countries which acted as its friends, supporters, alliances and associates.
Pakistan is going through worst of the calamity as designed by Pakistan’s own army and plotted by unscrupulous political crooks. The powerless media as well as judicial system are mere spectators of the show. This plot might have ended long time ago but the resolute of one man has challenged the potent circle of the country. This man, Imran Khan has stirred the status quo of the country. He has awoken the whole nation to rise against corruption and injustice. He has unraveled the invisible hands of army maneuvering the political ends of the country from last 70 years. This revelation has costed him his life. Army is now desperate to crush his influence (but in turn this pursuit is crushing country's economy), harassing people by molesting their women, putting man and children behind bars and abducting people who are attempting to speak against Pakistan’s army.
Pakistan is going through a living hell.
Pakistani nation cannot dare to argue but observe the silent death of democracy and torture of their true leader in a death cell. A leader who has outshined the country by raising its economy to 6.5% GDP growth rate which was 4.4% in 2017. The Economist newspaper has recognized Pakistan for its efforts in managing COVID pandemic in 2020 under his leadership. A man who offered free healthcare, low cost education system, free housing support for homeless and planting campaigns. He boosted tourism industry and called Islamic conference in the country to focus on major pertinent issues of Ummah. His reign has witness absolute eradication of terrorism from north-west province of the country. He maintained his emphasis on renewable forms of energy and attended world conference to establish network to profit country existing resources. He pushed back US offer to use Pakistan’s base to work against Afghanistan. He utilized his UN appearances by showcasing best of his nation’s intentions and values derived from his belief.
Although, he was steadfast and aflame to keep the political malefactors and disreputable leaders like Nawaz Sharif , Asif Ali Zardari and co. behind bar but, after holding the prime minister office, he got to know that most of the country affairs are monitored and controlled by chief of the army staff. This concentrated power station is the mainstay of decision-making, analysis and judgement. Therefore, despite having best of interest to empower poor people Imran khan was not able to punish double-dealing mafia. He tried to hold negotiations with the army in the interest of the country, but to no avail.
Today, country is an emblem of exploitation, inequality and nepotism. A man who has given 30 years of his life to serve the country and to shine its name in the world is suffering in a dungeon. Gravely, Pakistani people are under terrible oppression where they cannot express concerns about their leader or the country in general.
