PAKISTAN in the face of Neoliberalism and corruption

As a student of social work, I got to know different dimensions of world affairs at economic, financial, cultural, ethnical, moral, political, psychological, and regional levels. It has broadened my horizon of thought and led me to ask few crucial questions from myself and to the world.

Neoliberal forces are the main drive of the present world. Consumerism, materialism, and corporatism follow the instinctive yearning of human being (lust, greed, and gluttony) to have more. Monetarism has crushed the balance that is required to keep world a place of peace, sanctity, justice, and sanity. The free-market economics have smashed the voice, needs, and demands of developing countries as it stresses only on excess. Such ruthless pursuit of financial gain has sabotaged systems and rendered people to see human affairs through mono lens of voracity. Impoverished countries cannot raise their voices as they are hijacked internally by corruption and misconduct whereas externally by powerful market forces.

Pakistan is one of those nations where justice is deliberately alienated from the system as the country is ruled by unprincipled political figureheads who take regular dictation from hegemonic circle of the world.  These unscrupulous crooks take directions from their external counterparts to decide fate of their people. Therefore, exploitation of resources has stagnated the growth and caused constant rise in rates of inflation, insecurity, and terrorism in the region.

People of Pakistan are desperate to raise their voices for having their choice of government, but they are thwarted by abduction and rape threats. The spirit of democracy has further trampled by neoconservatism forces. Imran Khan, the only visionary leader of Pakistan is in Attock prison. Despite holding majority favour, the thieves are ruling the country. Pakistan is crippled by hands of poor democratic system, bad economy, mendacious leadership, and inequity.

Pakistani people are attempting to make the mark at international level to be heard and to call for an urgent support from the world to stand on their feet, get rid of prejudice as well as obtain the right to appoint leader of their choice. This opportunity is not given to them because the developing country like Pakistan has no offering to make for the world beside constantly begging.

This is indeed a gruelling phase for Pakistani people. The whole nation is oppressed and suffocated by the rule of the most unfair party. The disreputable political reign of 70 years has brought the nation at the brink of destruction. On top of it, people are mindful but helpless as they are informed about Pakistan’s foreign practises which has represented the nation to the world nothing but as a beggar.

Imran Khan has once said to his nation that beggars can never be choosers. The country is an embodiment of bad governance and debauched management from all possible aspects.

Having the charter of human rights, human safety and democratic sovereignty slogans, laws, and organisation in place the country is tamp down by iniquitous control.

It’s like the ship which is drowning in an ocean with all the ocean safety nets and provisions in place.
